Weight Capacity: Ensure the treadmill can comfortably support your weight. Many quality treadmills accommodate weights between 250 lbs and 400 lbs. If you run at high speeds, get a treadmill that supports past your weight.
Easy-to-Read Display: A clear, user-friendly screen is important for tracking workout stats like time, distance, speed, calories, and heart rate. Larger screens with backlighting are easier to read during workouts.

It also has all the little gadgets you'd expect from a treadmill of this quality. This includes things like quality speakers, Bluetooth, and an automatic fan—by automatic fan, we mean it adjusts according to the intensity of your workout and biometrics, which are also measured.
This is an awesome piece of machinery that accommodates a 300 lb individual while also offering a cushioned track.
One drawback is that because it is so popular, it tends to be sold out sometimes, so you may need to either wait or be prepared to search multiple outlets.

Hill training can be the most effective running training for strength and anaerobic endurance. Most treadmills will have some incline ability, usually around 10-15%

While a few treadmills can go faster, they also sit around $5,000 or more. Therefore, we think the best treadmill for fast runners is the NordicTrack Commercial 2450. At $2,500, this bad boy reaches top speeds of 14mph – that's a 4.3 minute mile!

True Form is one of the leading manual treadmill manufacturers on the market. Their catalog includes quite a few running treadmills, ranging in price from $3,500 to $8,000, so they're not the cheapest on the market by far.
However, when researching users of manual treadmills, True Form is the favorite. This includes their base model, the True Form Trainer.

Bottom Line: It's tough to beat True Form when looking for a manual treadmill… It's the best in the business. We really like the shallow curve that promotes a natural running stride; this is especially true for athletes. If you want a premium treadmill to support your running performance, this is it.
If you're not too keen on handing over $3,500 for the True Form Trainer, you can pick up the SB Fitness CT400 for almost half the price. Seriously. And it's a pretty solid piece of equipment.

In addition to advanced connectivity, the Horizon 7.4 offers a bunch of other really cool tech that is a selling point for many. It uses QuickDial technology, which makes it extremely easy to adjust the incline quickly.
It also has a Bluetooth heart rate chest strap, which syncs with the treadmill and compatible fitness apps. This is ideal for runners who like all their biometrics.
Plus, it has all the practical features you'd expect, like a water bottle holder, a tablet holder, hand grips, a fan, and a USB charging port. The LED console displays clear workout metrics.
It's compatible with a range of fitness apps via Bluetooth, including popular ones like Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, and Daily Burn, as well as apps that aren't specifically for running. Sunny Health & Fitness is a brand of fitness equipment known for delivering quality products to budget-conscious buyers. Even their premium treadmill is priced below $1,000.
Still, even though this is a cheaper option than other advanced treadmills, it packs a lot of running goodness. First, it uses a powerful motor that tops at 12 mph while operating at 15 different incline levels.
It's built with a double deck design that offers shock absorption, which is then integrated into its overall sturdy design. This running treadmill can handle those up to a weight of 300lbs

Not everyone has a ton of money to spend on treadmills. Thanks to technology and innovation, you don't have to anymore. One of the most impressive running treadmills we have found for under $500 is the Smart Treadmill w/ Auto Incline (SF-T7705SMART). We're giving you the model number as several similar models have fewer features.
It does have a smaller motor, at 2.2hp, which delivers a top speed of 9mph; in other words, you won't be using this for speed work. However, it still delivers enough to make it an interesting choice. For example, even at its price, it still delivers 15 different incline levels.

These are instructor-led classes that you can join for free! In addition, the app will monitor and save your metrics. At the same time, while small, it does come with an LCD for a digital display.
This running treadmill is relatively light and folds, making it a great choice for a home gym with tight space.
Its biggest drawbacks are its small weight capacity of 220 lbs and its smaller track of 15.5"—that's more than 4" smaller than the suggested minimum. However, the track is cushioned to provide a softer run.
