Take QuizThe 2022 CrossFit Games Open is one of the largest fitness competitions on Earth and an exciting showcase of the CrossFit community. The CrossFit Open 22.3 workout showcased CrossFit Reykjavik taking on Team CrossFit Hendersonville.
Athletes from all around the world show up and push themselves further than they ever thought possible.
The live Open announcement has kicked off the third week of the 2022 CrossFit Games Open and with more than 290,000 athletes taking part this year across the globe. We are excited because the competition is definitely going to be fierce.

CrossFit Reykjavik vs. CrossFit Hendersonville
CrossFit Reykjavik competed as a team for the first time in front of an audience at this event. The team was made up of Annie Thorisdottir, Lauren Fisher, Khan Porter, and Tola Moreakinyo. They are a serious team of competitors that will probably set the bar for the rest of the competition for the remainder of the 2022 season.
CrossFit Hendersonville is not quite at the professional level as Team Reykjavik, but they are a massive community of CrossFitters with over 300 members currently. Alexis Morgan, Zac Morgan, Lindsey McDuffie, and Logan Martin got the chance to represent the community at this 22.3 Open Workout. They will attempt to beat their opponents and shock the CrossFit community.
Even though Team Reykjavik gave Team Hendersonville a 4 and a half minute head start, you could tell pretty early on who would come out on top. Team Reykjavik closed the gap quickly and was the only team to complete the event.
The Results:
The time cap for them was 22:03 minutes.
Reykjavik: 16:36 minutes
Hendersonville: 851 reps (didn’t complete the workout)

As the reps get lower, the weight gets heavier. The score is the time required to complete the sequence of exercises. If it is not done within the 12-minute time limit, the total repetitions will represent the final score.

CLOSING THOUGHTS
The semifinals are fast approaching and we've enjoyed the launch of this year’s CrossFit Open workouts. The CrossFit Games is highly anticipated as there have been some considerable changes in the organization, and the competition gets crazier each year.
With the CrossFit quarterfinals taking place across six continents from May 20, 2022, to June 12, 2022, athletes will be competing to be one of 300 athletes to move on to the semifinals. The finals are scheduled for August 3-7th, 2022 in Madison, Wisconsin, where only 40 athletes from the CrossFit semifinals will be attending.
