Take QuizThe 2022 Arnold Sports Festival has provided many memorable moments throughout the weekend. This is the 34th edition of the event that had over 20,000 athletes compete across 60 shows representing 80 countries. It was one of the best productions we’ve seen in years. Let's dive into the 2022 Arnold Classic results!
Although the Arnold Sports Festival has so much action, the biggest event is still the Men’s Open bodybuilding.
Let’s have a look at the 2022 Arnold Classic results across 8 divisions, including:
The 2019 Mr. Olympia, Brandon Curry, walked away with the big win! He faced some tough competition from William Bonac, but Curry’s edged out the win with his more complete look. Bonac’s lower body couldn't hang with Curry. Steve Kuclo rounded out the podium, taking third.
This was a tough division all-around, with two previous winners competing including Breon Ansley and last year’s winner, Terrence Ruffin. Ruffin ended up winning again this year, and Ansley didn’t make it onto the podium this time. Ramon and Urs completed the podium with impressive physiques on display, it could’ve gone either way.
This one could’ve gone either way with the athletes looking peeled. Eventually, Erin Banks ended up winning the title. However, after this show, Hunter definitely will be one to keep an eye on.
This year saw a new face as the winner. Lauralie Chapados took home the title. Not too far behind were Maureen Blanquisco and Ashley Kaltwasser.
The five-time Figure Ms. Olympia winner and 2019 Arnold Classic Figure winner, Cydney Gillon, continued her domination after taking a two-year break from the sport. Surprisingly, last year’s winner Natalia Soltero finished in fifth.
This division is filled with theatrical displays, making it one of the more interesting for scoring and judging. The favorite coming into the event was Missy Truscott, who won the last two years in this event. However, Arial Khadr came out of nowhere and stole the show with his physique and Terminator-themed routine.
Isabelle Nunes ran away with the title in this division, beating out Angela Borges, who was perhaps considered the front runner. Sunny Andrews finished out the podium in third.
This event resulted in a big upset win by Gabriele Andruilli. Andruilli knocked off four-time Olympia champion and five-time Arnold Classic winner Harold Kelley. Bradley Betts came in third to complete the podium.
